What we look for

## Small details.⏎ Potentially meaningful recoveries.

We compare what you were charged with the applicable tariffs, supplier agreements,
and account records. A questionable charge is the beginning of an investigation,
not a guaranteed refund.

01 / RATES

### The right rate for your business

Tariff classification and eligibility during the disputed period, including whether
a different rate should have applied.

02 / CONTRACTS

### Pricing that matches the agreement

Supplier rates, renewal terms, fees, and authorized adjustments compared with your
signed contract.

03 / DEMAND

### Demand charges that add up

Metered and billing demand, multipliers, and tariff ratchets that can affect your
electricity charges.

04 / USAGE

### Accurate readings & conversions

Estimated or duplicate bills, meter changes, and natural gas conversion calculations,
including applicable heat-content and pressure factors.

05 / TAXES

### Applicable taxes & exemptions

Eligibility, exemption certificates, and the documentation and procedures needed
for tax-related claims.

06 / CREDITS

### Nothing missing in the details

Payments, deposits, adjustments, late charges, and approved credits checked against
your account history.

The recovery process

## A clear path from⏎ review to resolution.

We turn billing questions into supported calculations and work through the appropriate
dispute process.

[Get started with a recent bill ↗](https://rebateenergy.com/#ua-start)

 1. **Set the scope**
 2. Sign the audit and recovery agreement and letter of authorization before recovery
    work begins.
 3. **Review the records**
 4. Screen recent bills, gather historical records, and calculate month-by-month differences
with the relevant tariff or contract provisions.
 5. **Present the claim**
 6. Submit a documented dispute to the utility or supplier responsible. Request correction,
rebilling, and a refund or credit, with interest where applicable. Escalate unresolved
    claims through the appropriate process.
 7. **Verify the recovery**
 8. Confirm the refund or account credit actually received, then invoice the agreed
recovery fee. Refunds are paid directly to your business.

Transparent recovery pricing

### Our standard recovery fee

30%

of historical refunds or credits actually recovered.

**No recovery? No recovery fee.**

You keep the majority

## See how the fee works.

results.

| Actual recovery | Our fee | You retain |
| $5,000 | $1,500 | $3,500 |
| $20,000 | $6,000 | $14,000 |
| $100,000 | $30,000 | $70,000 |

Fees may be negotiated for large, straightforward claims. Complex work involving
outside specialists may carry a different agreed fee. Your signed agreement establishes
the scope, fee, payment trigger, and responsibilities.

Before you begin

## Utility bill review: your questions answered.

How long does the first bill review take?

The AI-assisted screening usually takes about a minute, although file size and service
availability can affect processing. It is an initial check, not a completed audit.
A full historical review depends on records, agreed scope, and responses from the
utility or supplier.

What does the utility bill audit cost?

Our standard fee is 30% of eligible historical refunds received or credits actually
applied, as defined in the signed agreement. There is no recovery fee if nothing
is recovered. Projected future savings are not historical refunds. Review the [agreement template](https://rebateenergy.com/client-documents/)
and confirm final terms with our team.

Who receives my bill review results?

Your uploaded bill is processed through the AI-assisted review described in the
form consent. The findings go to our audit team for follow-up; the submission screen
provides a receipt confirmation and reference. Do not include unnecessary sensitive
information.

What happens after I upload a bill?

After an accepted submission, keep your reference number and review the [agreement and letter of authorization](https://rebateenergy.com/client-documents/).
Our team confirms eligibility, scope, and any additional records. Uploading a bill
does not sign either document; recovery work begins after the final documents are
completed and signed.

How far back can an audit go?

We request three to five years of bills and payment history where available. The
recoverable period depends on the state, utility tariff, supplier contract, error
type, filing deadline, and evidence. Utility backbilling limits for undercharges
do not necessarily establish your refund period.

What records will you need?

Start with a recent commercial electric or natural gas bill, including all pages,
your service state, and your supplier agreement if available. For a full review
we may also need historical bills and payments, renewal notices, business and occupancy
history, exemption certificates, and meter or interval data. A signed agreement
and letter of authorization are required before recovery work.

Is a refund guaranteed?

No. Potential errors must be supported by account records and the applicable billing
rules. Recovery depends on the facts and the utility or supplier’s dispute process.
We distinguish historical recovery claims from opportunities to reduce future costs.

Who handles a disputed charge?

Delivery billing errors generally go to the utility. Supplier contract errors generally
go to the supplier, even when those charges appear on a consolidated utility bill.
We document the dispute and request a case number and written response.
